ObjectiveTo investigate the expression and significance of Caveolin-1 and Caspase-3 protein in hepatocellelar carcinoma(HCC).MethodThe expression of Caveolin-1 and Caspase-3 protein were detected both by immunohistochemistry in 10 cases of normal liver tissue,30 cases of liver cancers, and paracancer liver tissue.Result(1)The positive expression rate of Caveolin-1 protein in normal liver tissue,liver cancers,and paracancer liver tissue was 90%,13.33%,and 10%,respectively, while Caspase-3 was 90%,70%,and 40%,respectively,and the difference of Caveolin-1 and Caspase-3 in different tissues had statistical significance(P＜0.05).(2) There was no apparent correlation between the expression of Caveolin-1 and Caspase-3 in HCC (r=0.181,P=0.337).ConclusionThe expressions of Caveolin-1 and Caspase-3 protein both decline in HCC,but no significant correlation between them exists,indicating the abnormity of Caveolin-1 and Caspase-3 cell apoptosis disorder have no correlation in HCC.
