ObjectiveTo investigate social support in impact of the compliance behavior of elderly hypertensive patients.Methods506 aged 45 or above hypertensive patients in community were interviewed with questionnaire independently design and social support rating scale ［SSRS］.ResultThe complete comply group had 90 patients,part-comply group had 150 patients and no comply had 266 patients. The difference of compliance behavior was statically significant (P=0.014) in the three groups. The degree of compliance behavior and blood pressure control in the complete group were better than anther groups,the difference had statically significant (P=0.011).ConclusionHypertensive patients can improve compliance behavior and health promotion by full use of the resources around them.
