ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation of the hypersensitive c-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and D-dimer with cerebrovascular stenosis. Methods120 patients who had underwent brain GE-MRA examination in our hospital from August 2011 to July 2011 were selected, and were divided into observation group (the cerebrovascular stenosis group) and control group (the normal group), with 60 cases in each, according to the presence or absence of cerebrovascular stenosis. The correlation analysis was made between the levels of the hs-CRP, D-dimer, age, gender, hypertension, diabetes, blood lipids, smoking history, etc and cerebrovascular stenosis. ResultsThe levels of hs-CRP in the observation group were higher than that in the control group (P<0.01), but there was no significant difference in D-dimer between the two groups (P>0.05). Based on multiple regression analysis, the increased levels of hs-CRP, hypertension, smoking history were all closely related with cerebrovascular stenosis. Besides smoking, high blood pressure, high hs-CRP levels were also closely related to cerebrovascular stenosis. ConclusionsSmoking, hypertension, increased levels of hs-CRP are all risk factors for cerebrovascular stenosis, and smoking is highly correlated with cerebrovascular stenosis. Risk factors should be timely intervention to avoid the occurrence of cerebral infarction.
