ObjectiveTo explore the diagnostic value of high frequency combined low frequency color doppler ultrasonography for elderly patients with acute appendicitis. MethodsIn 2013, 62 elderly patients with acute appendicitis from emergency center of our hospital examined successively with low frequency ultrasound and high frequency ultrasound. The position of appendix, shape, echo and blood flow of appendix were determined, and then ultrasonography diagnosis of acute appendicitis was made. ResultsAmong 62 elderly patients with acute appendicitis, 58 cases were detected under the use of high frequency combined low frequency ultrasonography examination, 3 cases were missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis in 1 cases, the total coincidence rate between ultrasonography diagnosis and pathologic diagnosis was 93.5%. ConclusionThe low frequency and high frequency ultrasonography in acute appendicitis were from the overall and partial angle, respectively, the combination of the two can improve accuracy rate and the accuracy of the diagnosis of acute appendicitis.
