ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of amlodipine besylate tablet combined with ramipril in elderly patients with primary hypertension. Methods97 elderly patients with primary hypertension were randomly divided into combined treatment group (group A, n=50) and single medication group (group B, n=47) , group B was given amlodipine besylate tablet only, while group A was given amlodipine besylate tablet combined with ramipril. SBP and DBP of the two groups were observed and compared before and after treatment, the curative effect and adverse reactions were also recorded. ResultsAfter treatment, the total effective rate was 82.0% in group A, and 63.8% in group B , there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05); the curative effect of group A was statistically better than that of group B (P<0.05). SBP and DBP in the group A were both statistically lower than that in group B(P<0.05). ConclusionsAmlodipine besylate tablet combined with ramipril has significant effecacy on elderly patients with primary hypertension, adverse reactions is mild, which is worthy of popularization and application.
