ObjectiveTo analysis the correlation between the risk factors such as ankle brachial index(ABI) and atherosclerotic cerebral infarction. Methods300 patients with atherosclerotic cerebral infarction (cerebral infarction group) and 100 health checkup people were recruited (control group) in this study. The relative analysis between history of hypertension, diabetes, smoking, dyslipidemia, obesity,ABI and atherosclerotic cerebral infarction was made. ResultsThe single factor analysis showed that the differences in histories of hypertension, diabetes, tobacco use, abnormal blood lipid profile, obesity, and abnormal anklebrachial index between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis demonstrated that the differences in histories of diabetes, tobacco use, abnormal blood lipid profile and abnormal anklebrachial index were the risk factors for atherosclerotic cerebral infarction. ConclusionsHistory of diabetes, tobacco use, and abnormal blood lipid profile are closely related with the occurrence of atherosclerotic cerebral infarction, abnormal ABI would be a predictor for atherosclerotic cerebral infarction, and we should pay more attentions on screening and controlling such risk factors in clinic.
